Bar Alto - Powerhouse New Farm

Coffee - 3/5
Service - 2/5
Atmosphere - 4/5
Location - 5/5

Best - views of the river and gorgeous houses on Hawthorne Hill.
Worst - the ice-cold waitress

TOTAL RATING 14/20

Bar Alto is directly on the rivers edge in New Farm and the parking is free, though there is a little walk up through the Powerhouse Museum to get to it, which is nice. So far i have seen older couples of retiring age, mothers with babies, and a couple of young twenty-somethings with cool glasses. You have to go to the bar to order which is fine and the delivery of food and coffee was quick, but the waitress was an ice-queen. Goes to show that how your staff interact with customers really makes a difference to the whole experience and that you should value your staff that get along with the customers. But im human, she was probably having a fight with her girlfriend or something, something was clearly pissing her off, poor thing, i wanted to give her a cuddle. FREE WIFI!!!!!!! BONUS!

Cafe Bouquiniste - 121 Merthyr Rd, New Farm

Coffee - 3/5
Service - 2/5
Atmosphere - 4/5
Location - 4/5

Best - organic products and grungy cool vibe
Worst - the homeless guy going through the bin out the front (i wanted to give him something to eat but get bitten every time i try to help like that - i got abused by a homeless lady on Oxford street in Sydney in the middle of winter for buying her a blanket)

TOTAL RATING 13/20

Located on a quiet part of Merthyr Rd the parking was easy, right out the front and FREE! Surprise surprise considering Mr Newman is starting to charge us for parking almost everywhere. I have driven passed many times and noticed the mix-matching chairs to the side of this little shopfront that somehow worked and looked very appealing to me. I have finally stopped in and am very much enjoying my time here. Everything in this mix-matched little coffee shop is pre-loved and recycled, there is an uber cool feel to being here. So far i have seen a woman with a louis vuitton bag come in, a homeless guy, the grungy cool and the rich, hippy mum type stroll through. Ahhhh the reason why i love New Farm so much, every walk of life under the sun in one area and everyone accepting of whoever you choose to be. I will be coming back to this place where i can sit in the corner on the comfy lounges and not feel rushed.

WHO I WOULD MEET FOR A COFFEE HERE? My uber cool friend that isnt snotty and can appreciate the chilled setting and love that everything looks like its from a second hand store and appreciate it

The London Club - Teneriffe

Coffee - 4/5
Service - 5/5
Atmosphere - 4/5
Location - 4/5

Best - relaxing vibe
Worst - Street Parking

TOTAL RATING 17/20

Situated in Teneriffe you are surrounded by well polished humans, and you are in the 'gay'bourhood which is fantastic. I enjoyed free internet and totally enjoyed my time spent here. It is very relaxed yet sophisticated. I would come here alone to enjoy the peace while working on my laptop or i would bring a relative here.
